Traveling to Europe remains difficult according to recent news reports. Sigh. And it is 97 degrees here with about 90 percent humidity. I love visiting Europe. Photo by Mary Vee Let's go to--someplace cool... Grimsel Pass, the only above ground road north. There is another way, which I did not see. It is a thirty five mile tunnel. Totally amazing achievement, but a boring way to cross the Alps leading north to Lucern, Switzerland. As it happens, my bus was one of the last to take this road across for the winter.
