My first ACFW conference with super friend Pepper Basham The first year I went to the ACFW conference I met several of the gals from the Writer's Alley in person. We'd chatted in our writing group on line, but had never met in person . Yeah! I only had pictures to go by to recognize these gals in a sea of conferees checking in for the conference. In less than a heartbeat, I recognized them and knew they were kindred spirits. Pepper Basham and I were told to smile for this picture, but we couldn't stop horsing around. I don't remember who the camera person was, but she probably grew a little impatient with the two of us. In fact, I don't think the serious picture was ever taken! We of course stayed very serious and ... HAH - NOT! Pillow fights...
