Fabulous Friday Feature-Jeanne Takenaka

Today I welcome author:  Jeanne Takenaka A prepublished author's journey led by God Jeanne and I have been good friends for a couple of years. I can't even remember where we met. We just did. Was it through My Book Therapy? The Writer's Alley? At a conference? I'm not sure, but what I know is she is one sweet person. She always smiles. Works really hard. Is dedicated to God's call for her to write. Wow. Jeanne is not yet published, but I am convinced she will be back here on Let's Talk with a debut novel some day. Pre-Conference Mix and Mingle for Everyone!

My first ACFW conference with super friend Pepper Basham The first year I went to the ACFW conference I met several of the gals from the Writer's Alley in person. We'd chatted in our writing group on line, but had never met in person . Yeah! I only had pictures to go by to recognize these gals in a sea of conferees checking in for the conference. In less than a heartbeat, I recognized them and knew they were kindred spirits. Pepper Basham and I were told to smile for this picture, but we couldn't stop horsing around. I don't remember who the camera person was, but she probably grew a little impatient with the two of us. In fact, I don't think the serious picture was ever taken! A Blessing For Us

This is my rushed week. The week I attend the ACFW Writers' Conference. I leave on Wednesday and will drive back next Monday. Perhaps you are having a time when many events, tasks, whatever are happening/due. If not right at this time, you will have, I'm sure. The Big Event Jitters

The winner of Friday's drawing is...see end of post .  ACFW 2011 Conference Is there an event you're looking forward to? So much so you feel more than bubbly...you feel jittery? Children look forward to birthdays, Christmas, and other gift receiving events. They also love to give gifts. Watch Mommy's eyes brighten and her lips smile when she opens their handmade treasure. Sporting events, dates, vacations, new jobs, recitals, graduations, so many events move us from one anticipated day to the next.  I am looking forward to a big event. This Thursday I'll travel to Dallas for the annual American Christian Fiction Writer's Conference. I am not a candidate for an award, am not in the spotlight in any way. It's kind of like being the 51st out of 51 team members.
