So how do you feel about the election?
This is the day we'll walk in your shoes.
I must admit, I am disappointed.
To me the next four years will be a difficult road.
The president may do a lot of bad things or maybe great and wonderful things. I don't have a crystal ball, and God has not made me privy to the next four years.
What I do know is, whether my choice of president won or not:
The political commercials have ended.
We had the freedom to vote
We had the freedom to vote
We had the freedom to talk with others about the election
We had the freedom to like or dislike the winner
We have the obligation to respect the winner
(Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.)
God will guide the hand of the president for His overall plan.
God never promised us a rose garden on earth.
May God bless our country and those who live in it.
Your turn reader, you have an advantage, you know the results. What are your thoughts?

That immediately gave me reason to be joyful for today. I do not put my hope in elected officials. I put my hope in what the good Lord will do in His time and in His way.
It doesn't mean things will go our way, it does mean the end result will be great.
Hold your faith.
Daniel 2:20-23
Daniel answered and said:
“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
For wisdom and might are His.
21 And He changes the times and the seasons;
He removes kings and raises up kings;
He gives wisdom to the wise
And knowledge to those who have understanding.
22 He reveals deep and secret things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And light dwells with Him.
23 “I thank You and praise You,
O God of my fathers;
You have given me wisdom and might,
And have now made known to me what we asked of You,
For You have made known to us the king’s demand.”
I think God has a secret stash of coco for the chilling moments that disturb us. He really does love us and wants to help us through the rough times.
Thank you for including that particular passage. You probably recall Daniel's situation when that was written. God's Word is for all time.
Turn your disappointment into action. Would GOD have us lay down our weapons and simply give up? Absolutely not! "Seek first HIS KINGDOM and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS..." HE has not abandoned us. Let's not abandon HIM.
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33 NIV
What more do we need to know than that?
