I especially value when God speaks one message through several avenues. He knows when I need more than one dose of His message to get me to listen.

Recently, one of the loops I'm connected with had a discussion about those difficult, annoying jobs we do. The one person lamented over a task, which admittedly ranked in this category. The other friends counseled:
"There was a time when I had 3 kids 4 years and under. I was SUPER busy, but feeling very unproductive in my heart. So I started praying things like "Lord, I'm washing these dishes for you. Help me do it to the best of my ability." "Lord, I'm changing this diaper because you've given me this beautiful (and exhausting) child. Help me do it for you with the best of my ability", "Lord, I'm raking up these stupid leaves again. They're very beautiful. Help me do this for your glory." Pepper Basham
The next day, I found these words on Books & Such's blog: (This is a quote from DiAnn Mills, award-winning author of over fifty books)
"When the jealousy demon nips at my heels, I simply have to remind myself that I'm writing for an audience of One, and He doesn't care how many books I've written, awards I've earned, or the times I've hit the best-seller list. What Go wants is obedience to use the gift He's given me to write the best story possible and to always glorify him in the process . . . ."
How timely that these two quotes came two days in a row.
We truly are blessed. Look out the window right now. No matter what the weather, no matter what chore/job needs to be done, can you see God's handiwork? Look hard. He's there. His blessing for providing a task that no matter how many times you will have to redo it (i.e. taking out the trash) it still can be done, and for this nano second--it is done!
Oh, can you feel the Savior smiling at you?
Do you recall the numerous times the Bible tells us God looked at the whole world, seeking the righteous ones, the ones who are willing to obey despite the task?

I think God does this on a regular basis. Give Him a reason to think of you by warmly doing that task--again--for the five millionth time--the one that will have to be done again--in five minutes.
Two different ways you can comment today: Don't leave me alone in our chat circle, come, sit, sip some virtual tea/coffee/juice.
List another person from the Bible whom God declared as a righteous one, or one who was chosen because they obeyed God.
List that nasty task you have to do today, the one you are doing...for an audience of One.

I will be washing dishes again today. Time to squirt out some Joy! Sometimes God gives me the treat of tiny bubbles that take flight as I squirt out the detergent.
Love your words..."Time to squirt out some Joy." Never thought about the name of the product as the encouragement. :)
Haven't heard from you in a while. I've thought about you.
May you be wondrously blessed for your work for the audience of One. ;)
There will be more coming to our chat!
What a blessed day we will have:)
So glad you came today, Kay:)
Thanks!
