Two wonderful years of chatting with you about tons of topics.
Thank you!

Reading your comments is one of my favorite times of the day.


God has blessed.




During this second year, I have focused on bringing interesting guests every weekend to lead our discussion. Weren't they awesome?  

The Fabulous Fridays are not limited to authors. The theme is: sharing how God has led an individual on their journey. We've read some fantastic adventures. If you've missed any, or would like to reread one, click on the tab at the top "Fabulous Past Guest's Testimonies." The list is in alphabetical order by last name.

On Monday and Wednesdays I post other discussion starters and devotionals. Topics have included: what we learn in church, what we see in nature, current events, book and movie reviews, anything that starts a discussion, a giggle, or a praise.







And now, sit back and enjoy our chat. Here, have some virtual sweet tea or freshly brewed coffee.






We also have tasty virtual chocolate, scones, and pastries, all calorie free.












To complete the celebration, I am offering a book giveaway. I have several books from fabulous authors sitting on my shelf, waiting for one of you. (sorry US residents only)

What a beautiful bog full of celebration! Congratulations for your accomplishment.

For the summer I plan to do another CWG writing course to work on writing articles. As for travel, husband and I may go visit son in Texas. And, at home, the kitten we rescued a few days before Christmas from our front porch continues to provide entertainment, joy and conversation to an otherwise empty nest.

I thought I wrote blog and it turned into bog. Funny how those things happen. Just adds a little more pizazz to my comments. Need to remember that expression, "a bog full of celebration!" Only a typo could have thought of that.

Congrats on your second year of blogging!

My family and I just came back from vacation(it was a nice to get away from the heat and humidity)

We did come back with colds and sore throats, so prayers are appreciated as we recover.

Writing articles seems like a fun course to take. Short, fact based. Hope you have fun.

A Christmas kitty. You didn't say what you named the cat. Pets provide lots of entertainment. Sounds like this one was a gift from God for your empty nest.

I think someone moved Florida to my state. It is so hot and humid. I don't know how residents from Florida handle the temps and humidity.

I will pray for healing for your family. Let me know.

Congrats on two years, Mary! I don't comment as much as I should, but I DO read. You are a blessing.

I'm plugging away (in a fun way, of course!) at my picture books. Have six drafts done so far this year, and have started a seventh. All fun (with some work LOL). We're heading to Mackinac (City AND Island) for several days with the kids later in July. They've never been, so it should be LOTS of fun!

Oooo Mackinac and the island! You are going to have a blast. After living so close to it for so many years, I finally went last year with hubby. Wow...great memories.

I can't wait to see your picture books and am so happy you found this direction. When we pull our feet out of the muck and set them on the path God made for us, the steps are so sweet. Not always easy, but definitely something to be happy about.

You have an awesome day to. I'm trying to hide from the humidity.

I am continuing with my TBRs! We have returned from seeing family and no planned excursions in view. We are having Christmas home this year for the first time in five years and not being the ones traveling. This summer I hope to work on my set aside quilt. I would love to have a scone! Do you have a favorite recipe to share to make in our own kitchens? Our youngest daughter is coming to visit us right after Labor Day. Hope readers have an enjoyable Fourth with friends! As a matter of fact I do have a scone recipe....filed in one of those special places. I'll try to dig it out for you tomorrow..

Sounds like you are going to have so much fun and look at you thinking of Christmas...that is super! I love Christmas. And visit from your daughter. So much to look forward to this year.

What pattern are you using for your quilt? My sister is a fabulous quilter. She picked up where our grandmother left off.

Enjoy the fireworks from where ever you are.

My summer has been busy. My two are signed up for story time at three different libraries. Plus the libraries have other summer activities. We've been traveling to several horse farms for my horse crazy 5 year old daughter, who starts swim lessons next week. Soon she will be off to kindergarten, so I want to spend as much time with her as possible. (My baby girl is growing up.)

Hi Mary. Congratulations on making your second year complete. Now, on to number 3. So far my summer has been getting more HOT days as is usual days for this part of Texas. We have been having lots of rain in the past two weeks so with being cloudy had better days of being cooler. I do thank GOD for giving us more Spring this year. And the Fall and winter days lasted longer too than we are used to here. I really enjoyed that for could put warm things on and get out. Now that I'm getting older, the heat makes me sick if I'm out in the sun very long. I'm looking forward to the big family of ours getting together on the 4th at my son's home. I really look forward to these Holidays for that reason. We probably won't have fireworks since we are suppose to have rain that day. Been forever since I've gotten to go anywhere for big fireworks. But, it is also mosquito time too. I don't get to go off on vacations, bu am hoping to get to go to my oldest daughters house sometime before school starts again and hopefully not babysitting then. She started a daycare in her home with about 6 kids. It's only about 2 and a half hours from here out in the country. More time with her and getting out of the house. I would love some caramel snacks and iced tea with you. My youngest daughter just got laid off from her long time job and is 53. She's afraid of not getting hired because of her age and so many out of work. and not being able to pay her bills. No savings and like so many, lives to the limit of her pay. Oh, Amy, a new adventure is about to begin with your little one. I loved taking my kids to the library activities. There was a library bus that came to our apartment complex once a week. We took armfuls of books back to our house and read them all. One kid on each side of me. Such fun! Enjoy the days to come.

Holidays are exciting when we can get together with family. My son likes to bring fireworks to our house. I watch from inside the living room, away from the nasty mosquitos. I hope you daughter can spend some fun time with you. The country in Texas sounds lovely.

I am happy to add your younger daughter to my prayer list. Keep me updated on any other prayers.
