Mary here. I'm so happy to welcome Cheryl Wyatt today. I met her at ACFW. She has such a heart for helping. She hovers behind the scenes at ACFW working, organizing, helping to insure writers have a great experience at the conference. This same heart is scene in her post below. How can we help but know her books are just as wonderful? Yes. I am convinced. I asked Cheryl how has God led you on your writing journey. Here is what she said:

Any Struggle I Face is Worth It
USA Today bestselling author and RN Cheryl Wyatt writes romance with virtue themed with rescue. She’s grateful to be a worshipper of Jesus, a mom, wife, wrangler of words and spoiled Yorkies.
I have no doubt that God has led
me from the beginning of my journey.
There have been many ups and
downs. The road at times felt like smooth skating on ice and other seasons it
felt like clunking over a rutty road with flat, rimless tires.
Recently I suffered some pretty
devastating setbacks in my writing journey. It has never looked like I
thought it would. It has never been what I wanted it to be. But it boils down
to obedience and trusting God.
I know that sometimes he
redirects us and sometimes that process is painful. Last year was one of those
rerouting years.
Once I pressed in to God about
the situations, handed over my hurts, set aside my disappointment, I was able
to see his hand in the circumstances. He in turn pulled me through the
confusion and discouragement to see that his plans were always better than
mine.
I trust him and know that as long
as he sees merit in my words, any struggle I face is worth it.
I will continue to pour them out
to him as worship, praying like breathing that my books become a balm of joy,
laughter, encouragement, truth, peace and blessing to my readers.
So, your turn. In what ways has
God shown himself faithful? What's one way God led you to follow your dreams?
Is anything (fear, insecurity, timing, life's business) keeping you from doing
so confidently? Please share. I'd love to hear from you as well as pray for
you!
Thank you for stopping by today.
You are loved and appreciated!
Mary here- I popped over to Cheryl's website and wanted to add some of her great words I found there to help us know her better:
Not even Cheryl Wyatt’s closest
friends would dream that this sweet, shy intercessor plots mayhem during
announcements at church. She is a Registered Nurse turned stay-at-home-mom,
wife and writer who loves Jesus with all of her heart.
Joyful chaos rules her home, and she
delights in the stealth moments God gives her to write. She stays active in her
church and in her laundry room. She is convinced that having been born on a
Naval base on Valentines Day destined her to write Inspirational Military
Romance.
Cheryl loves to laugh and to make
others laugh, so she often plans comedic moments for her defenseless characters
in spite of their grumbling. She says it’s payback for when they refuse to obey
the plots she’s set out before them.
Yeah...this is Cheryl :)

The dog is Cheryl's writing buddy, except days he decides she needs to pet him and not the keyboard. LOL! Then he paws her laptop closed on her fingers. |

A military hero story is always heartwarming. I have enjoyed several myself. This story, though shows how much these heroes really give. You're going to love it :)
I met you at my first ACFW and appreciated your kindness.
I needed to read this post today. Big changes are happening to me this month, and I'm not sure how the year will evolve. But God has met me each step of the way so far, and I'm hanging onto his promise not to leave or forsake me.
Your book sounds great, and I can't wait to read it.
So awesome to see you this morning. I'll add you to my prayer list. Cheryl's prayer in her comment is perfect. We care about you:) God's promises are something we can not only know but personally fee.
I'm so glad you had time to stop by.
